Should We Return To Our Nutritional Roots

Should We Return To Our Nutritional RootsThe following definition for Western Diet was found. Western Diet is an unhealthy diet comprising mainly of processed foods high in calories, saturated fat, salt and sugars. It has very low diversity of healthy fruits, vegetables and oils. Western diet also includes cooking food at high temperatures. This may cause the production of glycotoxins. Glycotoxins are harmful compounds formed when proteins or fats combine with sugar in the bloodstream, or when foods are exposed to high temperatures during cooking. The presence of glycotoxins in the body may result in inflammation as well as accelerate aging. The Western diet has been linked to a range of chronic diseases, including obesity, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and certain cancers.

Western diet is one form of disruptive diet that moves away from the nutritional model of our ancestors. According to recent clinical trials and interventions, adopting dietary treatments with nutritional characteristics like those of pre-agricultural and pre-industrial diets, can have positive effects on health. Our body adapts to certain dietary patterns which, when not upheld, may contribute to chronic diseases. Thus, by adopting healthier eating habits that are in line with our evolutionary past, we can potentially reduce the risk of chronic diseases and improve overall health.

Should We Return To Our Nutritional RootsSome of the health conditions we would otherwise have experienced have been mitigated by the effects of advancements in medicine and technology. But the mitigating factors have led to new challenges. Modern medicine has caused antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Our mitigating factors may also be affecting the interplay between genetics and the environment, predisposing us to illnesses.

Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death worldwide, and the Western diet is a major risk factor for this disease. High intakes of saturated fats, trans fats, added sugars, and salt have been linked to an increased risk of cardiovascular disease. In contrast, diets high in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and healthy fats such as those found in the Mediterranean diet have been shown to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. Certain cancers, particularly colorectal cancer, have also been associated with the Western diet. High intakes of red and processed meats, as well as low intakes of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, have been linked to an increased risk of colorectal cancer.

Should We Return To Our Nutritional RootsCould This Be The Other Side Of The Argument?

Last week we focused on Dr Soon-Shiang opinion regarding the cause of T cells suppression post pandemic. He believes that individuals who got the Covid virus are the persons driving the bizarre health conditions we are presently facing. Dr. Soon-Shiang also believes that if the spike protein breaks off the counter measures employed during the pandemic, the spike protein acts as the virus itself – causing clots, heart issues and other health conditions.

But there are other health experts asking if this is the whole story. According to some of these health experts, the main counter measures used ‘inform’ the body to make spike proteins. Some experts even suggest that spike proteins are noted in individuals up to three years after administration of the counter measure.

If individuals who took the counter measures have become manufacturers of spike proteins, spike protein will continue to be detected in exhaled air. This increases the amount of spike protein in the atmosphere. Since we all breathe in atmospheric air, individuals who did not taken the counter measures will be in constant contact with spike protein. Dependent on the concentration of spike protein within their body, they too may become ill as their T cells are suppressed.

One thing that both groups of experts agree on is the suppression of T cells and the need to activate our T cells to maintain health during the post pandemic era. Both agree that it is no longer business as usual where health is concerned. The desire to preserve health must be made a daily feat.

In Last week’s edition, we outlined some herbs that can help your body activate your T cells.
