What is in Business Coaching for me?

Business CoachingSo, you are tired of being an employee and  you are at that point where you would like to make your dream a reality. That dream of, not just owning your own business, but unleashing your talents and creativity as well. Business Coaching may be right for you!

It does not matter what your envisioned business venture may be the benefits of business coaching cannot be overstated.

Starting and running a business does have its challenges, and, very often, until the dream is fully manifest, you may have to go the journey all alone. At Think Big Coaching Academy, we offer you the business coaching mentorship and guidance you need to achieve your goals. We are here to take the journey with you.

The fundamentals of every business are the same:

  • You must create quality products or services
  • You must define your customer
  • You must establish a price
  • You must close the sale
  • You must deliver the order on time
  • You must collect the money
  • You must realize a profit from the transaction

But even before getting to that point of creating quality products, every potential business owner must overcome a significant hurdle. That hurdle is limited resources. Limited resources could be financial as well as knowledge-base. Looking for knowledge and advice on how to start and grow your business requires much time and effort and a great place to start is with business coaching.

While there are many books and articles at your disposal, the challenge for start-up business owners is what they should believe and what they should not. Who wrote the books or articles? Were they written by a successful business owner, or were they written by persons who are only business owners in theory? Do these persons know the ins and outs of producing quality products? Do they understand the market for your specific product? Is the information imparted applicable to the laws or bylaws of your geographic location? With the many contradicting information you may encounter, it may be difficult for you to identify how to grow your business without the help of an experienced mentor.

Then there is the challenge of arriving at the needed start-up capital. You must decide what should be made a priority and what should be left for later to make the best use of limited finances. And for those who are looking for loans to assist with start-up, you must create a well-written business proposal.

One of the services we offer is personal guidance that will start you on the road to success in your business endeavor. We answer your challenging questions and walk you step-by-step as you formulate those strategies that will guarantee your success.

Who Are Business Coaches?

Business CoachingAn effective business coach is an experienced entrepreneur and business owner. They are individuals who have ‘perfected’ the art of business creation and have decided to use the knowledge, skills, and talents to build and grow a business, to help other business owners reach their goals. Because they are in business themselves, they are quite adept at the day-to-day challenges. This equips them with something far more valuable than that offered by online articles and eBooks. They have personalized experience, they have skills, and they know how to customize advice.

An effective business coach will help you shape your vision by assisting you with planning, goal setting, research, and coming up with innovative ways to market your product or service. They address the questions google, and other search engines cannot assist you with. All this is done for a price. But the help they give you is worth it. It may be that single defining factor that lies between success and failure.

Whether you are just starting-up, or your business has hit a rough patch, and you need a way to revive it, bringing on a professional business coach is one of the most effective options you have available.

What Does A Business Coach Do?

Business CoachBusiness coaches train you in the skills you need to be successful. They do so by:

  • Answering the difficult questions, you may have
  • Helping you clarify the scope of your business (e.g., mini or small)
  • Helping you sharpen your vision
  • Helping you discover your talents and creativity that you can leverage to make your business successful
  • Help you identify your weaknesses that must be compensated for in order for your business to be successful
  • Guide your decision-making
  • Help you create attainable goals
  • Refine your strategies

To be effective, you will have to teach us about your brand and its key statements, visions, goals, products, and services. From there, we will research its potential, its competitors, what the market for your service or product looks like, and we will devise a plan to help you build your business with clear, defined steps.

Throughout this entire process, your business coach serves as an invaluable source of personalized information and advice.

Who Is A Small Business Coach?

Business coaches have several specializations; some may choose to work mainly with small businesses; others may focus on executive coaching. At Think Big Coaching Academy, we coach and mentor what we describe as mini and small businesses. Many challenges and goals of small businesses may differ from those of large businesses.

Famous Entrepreneurs Who Had Business Coaching

Many famous business owners use coaches when they need a fresh pair of eyes to help them through some problem, or when they enter a negative quarter, or when their business has simply reached a standstill. Some famous entrepreneurs known to use business coaches are Steve Jobs, Jeff Bezos, and Oprah.

The former CEO of Google, Eric Schmidt, recommends that business owners, especially first-time owners, use a business coach. The coach’s detailed plans, research, experience, and assistance help your company grow and evolve.

Business coaching has helped some of the greatest minds of our time to create and maintain the wonderful empires they have built. Who says we cannot help you do the same?

Outstanding Business Coaching Statistics

Many business owners attest to the benefits they have derived from having hired a business coach and mentor. Surveys have been conducted that highlights the results of such services as well.

Statistical surveys have revealed that:

  • A study by the ICF (International Coaching Federation) shows that entrepreneurs and executives who utilize business coaching can increase their earnings by 46 %.
  • Manchester INC surveyed 100 executives, including CEOs of Fortune 1000 companies, and discovered that the Return on Investment (ROI) was almost six times the cost of coaching.

(‘Maximizing the Impact of Executive Coaching’, The Manchester Review, 2001, Volume 6, Number 1, Joy McGovern, et.al.)

  • Studies also found that Business coaching:
  • Improves teamwork
  • Increased positive reviews from customers
  • Increased productivity of employees
  • Increased job satisfaction

These statistics outline the value that business coaching can offer. Like other investments your business chooses to spend money on, coaching services are an investment.

Common Business Coaching Questions

Here are some questions commonly asked by business owners.

Q: What should you expect from our first meeting?

A: The first session is to learn more about you and your business so we can tailor our advice to your specific needs. The session will be a relaxing one.

Two weeks before the session, you will be sent a questionnaire to fill out online and return to us. This exercise will help you to define your business better and help us understand it. This questionnaire must be returned to us within a week of receiving it. This will give us the opportunity to start doing our analysis of your business and begin to generate the first five steps that must be undertaken to make your business success.

In the next session, we will go through this analysis, along with the five steps we intend to undertake. We will answer whatever questions you have and address your concerns as well.

Q: Can we help you grow your business?

A: Yes! We help you put workable strategies in place to grow your business. Our strategies involve hiring the right employee(s), increasing production, and effective marketing.

Q: What about small businesses; can business coaches help them grow?

A: Small businesses are more likely to benefit from business coaching because of limited start-up capital and workforce. Small businesses need to understand how to do more with less. We recognize the challenges facing small businesses to afford or access top quality business coaching, and so we have designed an affordable and effective program for all.
